Painfree, Carefree Dental work
Last week, a mother called about her fifteen-year-old daughter who is deathly afraid of shots in the mouth. They live in Victorville. That's about two hours away. But the drive was worth it to mom, if her daughter could have painless, shot-free dental work. Mary Lou- not her real name- was a mess when I got into the room. Crying, sobbing, shaking, barely in control. It took about thirty minutes for all of us to get her calmed down enough to get our work done. Using the WhisperJet (actually a sandblaster using 50 micron-size particles of aluminum oxide), and the Waterlase MD Laser, we got Mary Lou's two fillings completed without anesthetic, and with no pain. I personally think that a shot in the mouth is no big deal, and certainly not worth driving two hours at today's gas prices to avoid. However, because of today's technology, Mary Lou got her fillings completed. Maybe, next time, it won't be so difficult for her.
